A new restaurant is creating a lot of buzz in the Village of Los Ranchos.

Paddy Rawal's Om is serving up Indian food with southwestern flair.

Owner and executive chef Paddy Rawal is on a mission to change your mind if you're not a big fan of Indian food.

"The perception is hot, greasy, indigestion. But my food is very fresh, simple, delicious," says Rawal.

His food is also packed full of flavors and spices like cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, all spice.

Those are just a few of the spices he laces through his creations like the seafood korma.

Tha is a type of curry made with scallops, shrimp, mahi mahi and a cashew cream sauce.

The menu at Om is 90% gluten-free with plenty of vegan options.

For a little hint of the southwest try the ancho chile crusted tandoori chicken.

Make sure you try one of the 10 different types of naan with your meal.

What other local New Mexico food should KOB feature?
