YAFL President and wife arrested on child porn charges

The Young America Football League president and his wife have been arrested for manufacturing and distributing child porn.
The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office arrested Fredrick Gonzales, 42, and his wife Carey Gonzales, 36, Friday.
The two are accused of manufacturing and distributing child porn. The arrests are the result of a four-month long investigation.
Fredrick Gonzales is the current elected YAFL President for the Albuquerque District and his wife Carey works as an educational assistant at Montezuma Elementary School.
A search of the Gonzales residence produced several computers and digital media that contained pornographic child images. And during interviews, both Frederick and Carey admitted to viewing the images.
The digital evidence will be sent to the Regional Computer Forensics Lab for processing.
The victims in the images have not been identified.
Albuquerque Public Schools said it learned late Friday of Carey Gonzales's arrest. School district officials said she has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
School officials said as soon as the district learns more, information will be passed along to parents and the school community.
