Governor Susana Martinez has appointed former state representative Dr. Conrad James to the University of New Mexico Board of Regents.

"Conrad James is an outstanding public servant and has demonstrated a valuable knowledge of the University of New Mexico and the Albuquerque community," Martinez said. "I am confident that he will help to guide the university to new levels of success."

Prior to his appointment, James represented the 24th district in the New Mexico House of Representatives, and since 2002 has worked as a research engineer at Sandia National Laboratories.
