Health Fair underway this weekend

Health conscious people like Mary Bluma are taking advantage of KOB Eyewitness News 4’s Health Fair.
"I'm ready for a flu shot. I wanna be healthy. I don't want to get the flu," said Mary Bluma of Albuquerque.
More than 200 health care providers are set up inside Expo New Mexico’s Lujan Building. They’re giving free advice, products and services.
"Tests too,” said Bluma. “Tests are very expensive, blood tests as you get older they get more expensive."
The booth called, Kidney Trust, is running blood tests to see if Silvia Martinez’ kidneys are flushing correctly.
"If there's a high creatinine level, is what they're screening for, that's going to show if there's a kidney problem. If it's not filtering correctly or body isn't absorbing the water,” said Bonnie Nolen, a certified medical assistant.
That could lead to “diabetes, kidney problems. It can lead to jaundice,” she said.
Armed police officers with the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy are at the fair to take old prescription drugs off your hands and keep them out of the hands of kids.
"Anything that's in their cabinet that shouldn't be there, that's expired, that you're no longer on," said Officer Adela Padilla.
The KOB Eyewitness News 4 Health Fair continues Sunday, January 27th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, kids 12 and under get in for free. Parking costs $5.
