NM's bankruptcy filings fell for 2nd straight year

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Bankruptcy filings in New Mexico decreased in 2012 for the second straight year.
    
The Albuquerque Journal reports that the state saw a 15 percent drop in filings from 5,674 in 2011 to 4,811 in 2012.
    
The 2012 filings were on roughly the same level of filings as 20 years ago.
    
The state experienced a 14 percent drop in bankruptcy filings in 2011.
    
The record for filings in New Mexico came in 2005 when 12,424 petitions of all types were filed.
