Police arrest man for murder in Hobbs shooting death

Hobbs police have arrested a man in the shooting death of a Hobbs man Sunday night.
Police say they arrested Emilio Romero, 23, and charged him with murder in the death of Stephen De Moss of Hobbs.
Police responding to a “shots fired” call found a wounded De Moss in the 1900 block of North Blanco at about 5:45 P.M. Sunday.
He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Romero has been charged with first-degree murder in the death and is being held in the Hobbs City Jail on a $1 million bond.
