NEW: Suspect arrested near Zia Elementary, school lockdown lifted

A suspect sought by the SWAT team near Zia Elementary school has been arrested and a lockdown at the school has been lifted.

The lockdown had been enacted at Zia Elementary school as police and SWAT worked to arrest the man, who was wanted in a domestic violence incident from last night.

Police identified the man as Armando Lopez, 27.

The school is located at 440 Jefferson NE.

Police say the SWAT situation was in the 4900 block of Roma NE.

Because of the police activity, Monroe was closed between Lomas and Roma; and Roma was closed between Monroe and Quincy NE.
