Las Cruces man accuses NMSU basketball player of battery

New Mexico State University basketball player Tyrone Watson has been accused of badly beating another man.
The Las Cruces Police Department says officers were called to a Las Cruces home shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday.
They found a battery victim – identified as Miguel Rascon – who accused Watson of beating him.
However, police say they are not accusing Watson of the battery and have not filed any charges against him.
Police are still investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the incident.
