A Santa Fe teacher is on paid administrative leave after allegedly pushing two students at Aspen Community Magnet School on Friday.

Our partners at the Santa Fe New Mexican have obtained video of the incident.

In the video, you see the teacher, who is not being named because there are no criminal charges against him at this time, push an eighth grade boy.

The boy slumps to the ground, and then the teacher pushes a female student and walks away. The school placed him on leave while they investigated alleged misconduct of child abuse.

The district reported the incident to Santa Fe Police early this week, and the Santa Fe New Mexican reports that they are not pressing charges at this time because it doesn’t seem like he intended to hurt the students.

Students at the school say the teacher is known for playful roughhousing.
