Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez in hospital for heart procedure

Senate Majority Leader Michael Sanchez has checked himself into the hospital as a precaution in relation to ongoing problems with his heart.
Sanchez, a Valencia County Democrat, underwent an angioplasty/stent procedure that will allow him to return to the legislature next week, according to a news release sent from the Senate Majority office Friday.
“He is expected to fully recover and is in good spirits,” the release said.
Sanchez was hospitalized in July after going an emergency procedure to avoid a heart attack.
