ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque residents are being warned that there may be more problems with blowing dust on Wednesday as a cold front moves across the state.

Air quality officials say strong winds expected with the storm could bring blowing dust in the morning that could last into the afternoon.

Officials urge people with respiratory and heart issues to limit outdoor activity, keep windows closed and keep heating and air conditioning systems on the recirculation mode.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say the cold front will also bring snow to higher elevations in the northern and western parts of New Mexico.

The strongest winds are expected along the central mountain chain and south of Interstate 40. Forecasters say the blowing dust will also likely result in reduced visibility in many areas.
