Police search for shooting suspect

Police are looking for the man who fired shots Wednesday night near Old Town Albuquerque wounding one person.

Officers were dispatched to the scene around 9:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, they found Richard Archuleta, 36, alert inside the residence with two gunshot wounds to the torso.

Archuleta was taken to the hospital for surgery and is expected to be okay.

He claims Gustavo Gonzales, 55, shot him. There is a warrant out for his arrest.

Gonzales has a criminal record. He was arrested last month for receiving and transferring a stolen vehicle, methamphetamine possession and running from police. He has also has previous narcotics violations.
