LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - Dona Ana County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who allegedly led authorities on a high-speed chase that ended with a crash into a house and trailer.

Authorities say 24-year-old Erick Vasquez is facing charges of aggravated DWI, criminal damage to property, resisting or obstructing arrest, driving on a suspended license and failure to provide insurance.

He was booked Thursday into the county Detention Center and later released on a $5,000 surety bond.

An on-duty deputy in Sunland Park attempted to stop Vasquez after spotting him driving on the wrong side of a road. That started a pursuit that reached speeds in excess of 110 mph.

Authorities say residents inside the house and trailer escaped injury after Vazquez's car crashed into the structures.

Field sobriety tests were conducted on Vasquez.
