New Mexico GameDay Player of the Week: Paul Mascarenas

Selecting this week’s New Mexico GameDay Player of the Week was tough – New Mexico had multiple state champs this week in wrestling and swimming.
Ultimately, we decided on an athlete who accomplished something only 16 other people in New Mexico have ever done.
Sue Cleveland High School’s Paul Mascarenas capped off his high school career with a fourth straight title.
Mascarenas captured the 113-pound title on Saturday, and his points helped the Storm win the 5A team title.
He will wrestle at South Dakota State next season, but for now Mascarenas is the New Mexico GameDay Player of the Week.
