The search continues for a man considered armed and dangerous in Tijeras canyon.

Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputies say 32-year-old Ronnie Jaramillo ran from the car when they pulled him over Thursday afternoon.

His passenger stayed and cooperated with deputies. They said the passenger told them Jaramillo could be armed.

Deputies and SWAT officers started a massive manhunt of the area near the Carnuel exit off I-40. They were fully armed and used K-9's, but found nothing.

Residents in the area said they felt a little uneasy.

"I think it's pretty scary, I mean, we don't know who could be out here. It could be a total bad guy," Jean Blythe said.

"Since we have my little sister here, we actually had her go over to the other house just because we didn't want anything to happen.  But it's also good to know that they're out here and everything," resident Jordan Llamas said.

Deputies said Jaramillo has several felony warrants for his arrest. Now, he will face additional warrants from Thursday's incident.
