ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Corrales man has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison in a child pornography case.

New Mexico prosecutors say 59-year-old Ernest Brian Tucker received a 97-month prison term Tuesday followed by 15 years of supervised release.

Tucker will be required to register as a sex offender after he completes his prison sentence.

He's been in federal custody since his arrest last March on a criminal complaint charging him with child pornography offenses.

Prosecutors say Tucker had a file-sharing program to download child porn and his computer has about 38,000 images and videos.

Tucker subsequently was indicted for receiving and possessing visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. He pleaded guilty to the receipt of child pornography charge in November.
