LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A former Las Cruces middle school basketball coach arrested in a child pornography case is facing other charges.

Police say 33-year-old Erik B. Khan now is accused of illegally performing physical exams on at least three juvenile student-athletes.

They say Khan is being held on suspicion of one count of criminal sexual contact of a minor and three felony counts of practicing medicine without a license.

Police investigators and federal agents learned that sometime prior to the 2007 basketball season, Khan allegedly performed physical exams on Picacho Middle School student-athletes in a locker room.

In May, Khan was arrested and accused of 15 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Police say he allegedly used an automated computer software program to download or share child pornography.
