New apartment complex to open this fall

A new affordable housing complex may add even more color to Downtown Albuquerque.
KOB Eyewitness News 4 was there for the groundbreaking of the Casitas de Colores on Lead Ave. and Second St.
The complex is next to another colorful housing complex Downtown.
The new 71-unit building will have two and three-bedroom apartments.
"This project is going to bring families downtown,” Chris Baca, with YES Housing Inc, said. “It's going to bring a vibrancy that's been missing.”
There will also be some units in the complex offered to homeless families.
The complex is scheduled to open this fall.
