2 NM brothers plead guilty to meth trafficking

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - An Albuquerque man and his brother have pleaded guilty to methamphetamine trafficking charges.
New Mexico prosecutors say 28-year-old Jesus Omar Lopez-Valle, of Jarales, and Hector Manuel Lopez-Valle, of Albuquerque, have been in federal custody since they were arrested in March 2012.
Authorities say the brothers conspired to sell more than four pounds of methamphetamine to the undercover officer for about $60,000.
They say Hector Lopez-Valle admitted transporting the methamphetamine from Belen to Albuquerque.
Both men will remain detained pending their sentencing hearings, which have yet to be scheduled.
At sentencing, prosecutors say each man faces anywhere from 10 years to life in prison.
They say Jesus Lopez-Valle also faces up to 10 years in prison for a firearms conviction.
The brothers will be deported after they complete their prison terms.
