ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A Shiprock man will face a prison term after pleading guilty in federal court in Albuquerque to second-degree murder and attempted robbery charges under an agreement with prosecutors.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 31-year-old Malcolm Altisi will be sentenced to 19 years in prison under the plea agreement. He pleaded guilty Monday.

According to prosecutors, Altisi admitted killing 25-year-old Rolan Joe when Joe confronted Altisi about a robbery attempt earlier that day. Another man awaits trial in the attempted robbery.
