ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Although an NCAA berth is virtually assured for No. 15 New Mexico, the Lobos are confident they won't overlook anything entering the Mountain West Conference tournament.

The Lobos begin play Wednesday night in Las Vegas against the winner of Tuesday's matchup between Wyoming and Nevada.

Mountain West player of the year Kendall Williams says the Lobos have to do well in Las Vegas to get the seeding they believe they deserve in the NCAA tournament.

New Mexico coach Steve Alford says it's going to take a strong performance to reach Saturday's championship game.
