Attorney General Gary King’s office obtained an indictment this week against Alberto Villavisencio, 43, on 40 counts of manufacturing and two counts of distributing child pornography.

Villasencio, of Albuquerque, was indicted Monday following his arrest last month by Bernalillo County Sheriff’s detectives. He is being prosecuted by the state Attorney General’s Office.

A tip to BCSO led to a subsequent search warrant executed at the defendant’s Albuquerque home, where computer images were discovered depicting children in sexual situations.

Villavisencio could face more than 360 years of incarceration on the charges.
