CLOVIS, N.M. (AP) - New Mexico State Police say there are similarities between three pipe bombs found recently in Clovis and Roswell, two eastern New Mexico cities that are approximately 100 miles apart.

However, Capt. Jimmy Glascock says investigators have not found any evidence to link the discoveries.

A pipe bomb discovered Friday night in a residential neighborhood in Roswell was detonated by state bomb experts.

The Clovis News Journal reports that pipe bombs discovered March 5 near the Clovis landfill and Sunday at another location in Clovis were defused without detonation.

The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is leading the investigations in Roswell and Clovis.
