Ten Albuquerque bank robberies so far in 2013

The number of bank robberies in Albuquerque over the last three months has nearly surpassed those committed for the entire year of 2012.

There have been 10 bank robberies in the city so far this year; last year there were 13 for the whole year. And, in 2011, there were 41.

Police said they may have a lead on a subject believed to be behind the most recent robbery in Albuquerque. Investigators say he robbed the New Mexico Bank and Trust on Montgomery and Eubank Tuesday.

The FBI thinks he may be linked to two other bank robberies, including one in Santa Fe.

1/4: 1 ABQ

1/12: 1 ABQ

1/23: 1 ABQ

1/24: 1 Las Cruces

1/29: 2 ABQ

1/30: 1 ABQ

2/1: 1 ABQ

2/4: 1 Espanola

2/5: 1 Los Alamos

2/19: 1 Bernalillo

2/25: 1 ABQ

3/4: 1 Santa Fe

3/8: 1 ABQ

3/13: 1 ABQ

Previous years bank robberies:

2012: 19 (13 in ABQ area, 6 rest of NM)

2011: 47 (41 in ABQ, 6 rest of NM)
