No secret here: Albuquerque is landlocked, in the middle of the desert, no ocean in sight. But who says you can't get fresh seafood?
In this week's Best Bites we check out Street Food Asia, where they fly in live lobsters from Boston and cook them to order, with Asian flair.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday you can order a lobster cooked any of 16 different ways for $12.99.
We got to try the Bangkok street style. That's made with ginger, garlic, and Thai chili among other spices.
Chef Tai Tok wants his customers to feel like they're in the busy street markets of Asia. He points out different southeast Asian countries will have very different flavors.
"Thai and Chinese and Thai or Korean are totally different because of the spices we use and the seasoning are all totally different," says Chef Tai.
In just a few weeks, the restaurant is branching out to open Street Food Market right across the street from UNM.
