Lobos are ripping up their brackets this morning after an upsetting loss to the Harvard Crimson Thursday night.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 caught up with disappointed fans at a Nob Hill watch party, and learned that despite the rough end to a successful season, they're still optimistic.

"I'm really sad right now," UNM fan Julan Corbin said.

"Talent wise and coaching wise we're a better team than this and I know we have the capability to go further. I'm looking forward to 10 more years of Alford."

Coach Steve Alford just signed a 10-year contract with the team, which is ending the season 29 and 6. "We could've got to the Final Four," James Bochert said.

"It's really upsetting as a NM fan, been here my whole life, watching the team the whole time, thinking this was gonna be the year we were gonna make it... And once again, we didn't."

All five starters for the Lobos will come back next year.
