Albuquerque Public School want to hear from parents Thursday night about a proposed boundary change for North Star and Double Eagle elementary schools.
For the past six months, parents have been asking the district for resolutions about over-crowding at North Star, located at 9301 Ventura Avenue NE.
North Star Elementary can hold only 663 students. Right now, there are 743 kids at the school.
Students who live between Alameda and Paseo, and then between Eubank and Ventura would have to move to Double Eagle Elementary next school year.
APS says parents could immediately transfer to Double Eagle, which is two miles away from North Star, at 8901 Lowell NE.
But parents wanted another option, so APS came up with the proposal.
The meeting will be held at North Star on Thursday at 6:30.
Parents are invited to attend.
