Mescalero Apache school officials tell KOB Eyewitness News 4 that a lockdown at the school has ended without incident.

School officials said the lockdown was ordered after a 'possible threat' that police  later found was a false alarm.

School will let out and buses will run at the regular time.

The school is located at 249 White Mountain Drive in Mescalero, which is in Otero County in southern New Mexico.

About 520 students attend the school.
