The Albuquerque Police Department’s four day warrant roundup wrapped up Friday evening.
Police said they exceeded their expectations to bring in 100 people with outstanding warrants.
The warrant sweep brought in 546 people, who either turned themselves in or were arrested.
About a third of fugitives had serious enough warrants to send them to jail.
Police Chief Ray Schultz said the jail was notified ahead of time in order to make room for the offenders.
According APD officer Robert Gibbs, the Southeast district command cleared 64 warrants, followed by the 43 cleared by the burglary division. Police also served 27 violent crime related warrants, and 15 related to auto theft.
