KOB Eyewitness News 4 has details on the deal a state wrestling champ struck with a judge in his bullying case.
The judge told Nick Chavez last week that his assault charges would be dropped if he stayed out of trouble for the next 3 months.
Court documents show that Chavez, in exchange, must create and help run an anti-bullying program at Rio Grande High School.
A spokesperson for Albuquerque Public Schools said the district is dismayed and disappointed with that idea, in part, because Chavez is already a senior at the school.
