SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) - Gov. Susana Martinez is joining a civic group for a trip to Colorado and Utah to promote New Mexico.

The governor's office says Martinez will leave Sunday with the New Mexico Amigos for Colorado Springs and then on Tuesday the group travels to Salt Lake City.

The New Mexico Amigos is made up of business, community and state leaders who travel to promote economic development, tourism and other opportunities in New Mexico.

The Amigos will pay for the governor's expenses while she's with the group, which is heading next Thursday to Spokane, Wash., without Martinez.

The governor's political adviser said Martinez is tentatively scheduled to attend a political fundraiser in Dallas on Thursday and return to New Mexico on Friday.
