Fire officials report three fires are still burning near the Gila Cliff Dwellings in the Gila Wilderness.

The Indian Fire has burned 80 acres near the dwellings, none of which is contained.

The Papoose Fire has burned also 80 acres one mile north of the Indian Fire.

The Silver Fire is burning two acres.

The fires are the remaining fires of a batch of seven started earlier Friday by lightning.

The Gila Cliff Dwellings are currently closed from from June 3 through June 7 for hazard rock removal from the cliff face directly above the dwellings.
