Wildfire near Borrego Mesa sparks Monday

Officials confirmed another fire in northern New Mexico Monday.

The Jaroso Fire was reported early Monday afternoon around 1:45 p.m. According to forest officials the blaze is in a very remote area of the Pecos wilderness about six miles southeast of Borrego Mesa. The fire has grown to three acres and has the potential to spread quickly due to nearby dead and fallen trees.
