"How to kill somebody"--that's the search term a forensic computer analyst said he found on a laptop owned by former Albuquerque police officer Levi Chavez and his dead wife, Tera.

The analyst, Michael Brookerson, testified Monday in the murder trial against Levi Chavez. He's accused of shooting and killing Tera with his department-issued gun and then trying to make her death look like a suicide in 2007.

Along with a search for how to kill, Brookerson said he found a search for "signs of depression."

The trial is ongoing. Follow live updates from KOB Eyewitness News 4's courtroom reporter on Twitter: @JosephLeeLynch
