Friends and classmates of a Santa Fe teen who died at an Expo New Mexico concert over the weekend are using social media to both grieve and keep her memory alive.
One of her friends shared with KOB Eyewitness News 4 some memories and told us why Hannah Bruch will be missed by so many people.
Ben Ciener says Hannah was a good-hearted person.
"She was really kind and she had a sort of almost aura of kindness. She would walk into a room and people would light up because she would make people happy," he said.
When he heard about her unexpected death Saturday night, he thought someone was playing a cruel joke on him.
"Then I heard it from one of my best friends' moms and it sort of hit me like, 'Oh my God, this is real," Ben said.
Ben started the Hannah Bruch memorial page on Facebook as a way for friends to help each other get through the loss. Since he started the page two days ago, it has received more than 1,000 likes.
"There's been a lot of response about how people hope she's in a better place," he said.
Ben also started organizing a memorial walk for Hannah that he hopes will bring closure to her friends and family.
Funeral services for Hannah will be held Wednesday at the Rivera Family Chapel in Santa Fe. The family has asked only close friends and family members to attend.
