Every once in a while, something comes along that gives each of us a chance to do something significant. Something that will change lives, affect families and impact people for generations to come. You have that opportunity right now in the battle against cancer.
For each generation, the American Cancer Society conducts a Cancer Prevention Study. These studies follow that generation so researchers can use the information and apply what they learn to the next generation to save more lives. The American Cancer Society is the only organization that takes on this type of nationwide study, and the opportunity for you to participate is being offered in Albuquerque from Sept. 10-14.
Here's how you can help the American Cancer Society reach their goal of enrolling more than 400 Albuquerque residents:
1. Visit http://cps3albuquerque.org to schedule your appointment or call toll-free 1.888.604.5888
2. Follow the link in your confirmation email to complete your first survey online, from wherever you are. This survey will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.
3. Go to your appointment where you will complete a brief survey, sign an informed consent, provide a waist circumference measurement and a small blood sample (similar to a doctor's visit). Your in-person enrollment should last no longer than 30 minutes.
