Residents say it does not happen too often, but Sunday's downpour left Edgewood flooded.

"We haven't had it happen in three or four years because of the drought, but before that, it's an average and happens maybe two to three times a year," Edgewood resident Steve Moore said.

Moore says he just watched as residents got stuck in either the water or in lines of traffic.

"The only people that hate it are these people with their vehicles half buried," Moore said.

KOB Eyewitness News 4 heard reports of people stuck in their SUV's in high water.

Resident Leighann Scribner hopes that it is mostly dry when she is able to get home.

"Our barn will probably be like washed out and stuff," she said.

KOB did not hear any reports of injuries from Santa Fe County, but officials did not expect the flooding to ease up for at least a few hours.
