The University of New Mexico football team will be without kick returner Chase Clayton this week at UTEP.

Davie said Clayton will miss the next couple weeks of action.  Clayton suffered an injury to a ligament in his knee in the second half on Saturday against UT-San Antonio.  Davie hopes Clayton will be back by their game against UNLV on September 28th.  Clayton was named the Mountain West Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.  He had two kick returns for 38 yards in UNM's season opening loss.
