The kick off date for affordable healthcare is just around the corner.

The New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange is a new way for people to find health coverage that fits their budget. In 14 days, people who can't afford health insurance through their employer, owners of small businesses and people who don't have health insurance at all will be able to enroll in healthcare plans.

"It affects virtually everybody—people who have coverage, people who don't have coverage or can't afford it—this is their opportunity to come look at what we have and participate," said Mike Nunez, representative for the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange.

Enrollment starts Oct. 1 and will kick in on Jan. 1, 2014. For more information, visit www.bewellnm.com.
