Big crowds this weekend at the New Mexico State Fair are making up for a waterlogged start.
Rain put a damper on attendance early on.
A state fair spokesperson told KOB Eyewitness News 4 there is usually one or two rain days every year.
But in 2013, there were four poor weather days.
Warmer and sunny weather earlier in the day on Sunday brought out a large crowd of people for the fair's final day.
"We're just having some fun hanging out eating some corn dogs, we're about to see some of the animals," fairgoer Scott Schumann said.
However, rain did hit later on in the evening.
A final attendance figure has not yet been released, but officials say the rain-soaked start hurt them.
