ALBUQUERQUE -- The final proposed design of the $93 million Paseo del Norte/I-25 Interchange project is now open to public comment.
On Wednesday night, residents will get the chance to voice their concerns before major construction begins in October after Balloon Fiesta.
So far, The New Mexico Department of Transportation has already heard from business owners concerned about construction hurting business and residents who live near the interchange who are worried about the traffic.
At tonight's meeting, the project team will talk about the different phases from now until 2015 when construction is expected to be completed.
There are several phases of the project, including a free flow ramp to improve eastbound Paseo del Norte to southbound I-25, a flyover ramp to improve northbound I-25 to westbound Paseo, an overpass at Jefferson and Paseo, bike and walking paths and general improvements between Alameda and Jefferson.
The meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. at the Marriott in northeast Albuquerque, located at 5151 Journal Center Boulevard.
