ALBUQUERQUE -- A man accused of scamming dozens of Albuquerque renters is going to prison.

Shaun Anaya was arrested in 2011 after he was accused of renting out more than two dozen homes he did not own. Police said Anaya broke into vacant, foreclosed homes and then rented them to unsuspecting people.

On Tuesday, Anaya pleaded guilty to the 12 charges against him, including attempted larceny over $20,000 and a couple of counts of fraud and forgery.

A judge then sentenced Anaya to four years in prison.
