The Portales peanut plant involved in a nationwide salmonella outbreak last year has closed its doors.
Sunland Peanuts has filed for bankruptcy, and operations at the plant have stopped.
The plant shut down in September, 2012 after people in twenty states got sick from eating peanut butter produced there.
The plant reopened again last May, but Sunland took a big financial hit from the closure and lawsuits following the outbreak.
