It seems harmless enough to give someone change to help fill their gas tank. But on Friday, an Albuquerque woman saw that no good deed goes unpunished. A 52-year-old woman was filling up her car at a Valero near Coors and Bluewater. When a man asked for money, she gave it to him. Minutes later, he stole her car, sped away, and dragged her along with him.

A police report says 27-year-old Alva Bradley, now in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center, asked a woman for gas money Friday in broad daylight. She gave him some and he walked away, but then, he came back. He yanked her out of the car, took the wheel, and sped off.

He dragged the 52-year-old along with the car for several feet, causing injuries. Police searched by helicopter and found Bradley near Central and Yucca. After arresting him, they learned he was also wanted for attempting a home burglary earlier Friday.

He is charged with breaking and entering, robbery, residential burglary, possession of burglary tools and aggravated battery.
