An apparent homemade bomb was diffused at a football game where a New Mexico college team was playing.
The Valley Courier reports that the plastic jug based bomb was found in a parking lot at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.
The bomb was discovered while fans were leaving the football stadium after a game against Western New Mexico University on Saturday.
Several law enforcement agencies secured the area while emergency responders moved the explosive with water.
The bomb was detonated at a safe distance.
The athletic department for Adams State University says a student turned himself in and admitted to placing the bomb.
