New Mexico State Police has confirmed with KOB Eyewitness News 4 that 10-year-old James Agnew has been found safe.

New Mexico State Police issued an Amber Alert for Agnew on Tuesday morning. The alert has now been canceled.

Police said Agnew was found just after 5 p.m. with his father's fiancee, Rebecca Aguirre, at a residence near the intersection of Highway 14 and Highway 599 in Santa Fe.

Agnew is unharmed and in good spirits. Aguirre is unharmed as well. Both will be interviewed by Santa Fe police to find out why the father reported them missing. It does not appear Aguirre will face charges at this point.

James Agnew, 10, was last seen with Rebecca Aguirre, 46, on Saturday in Santa Fe.
