ALBUQUERQUE -- One of the dogs thrown from a moving pickup truck in Albuquerque has been reunited with its family.

Last week, an Albuquerque Animal Welfare officer rescued a bulldog and pug pushed from a truck at Central and Dorado.

After KOB Eyewitness News 4's story aired, the dogs' owner contacted the shelter. According to Animal Welfare, the owner thinks the dogs escaped from their home through a gate that was left open.

The owner did not know who picked up the dogs and threw them. The search continues for the man responsible.

The bulldog is back with the family, but the pug will be adopted by someone at the shelter.
