The holidays mean something big for the Brungard household: Going all out on their Christmas decorations.

Andrew Brungard says that they have a lot of people stop by and look at the display.

"That's one of things we like about putting them up. We have people with strollers stop and their kids play in the yard. People take pictures," he said.

While Brungard has been nice this holiday season, the man who stole one of his decorations has been naughty.

Surveillance video shows a man in a hoodie walking nonchalantly on Coal Avenue in southeast Albuquerque. He sees the inflatable polar bear and decides to snatch it off of Brungard's property. He unplugs it, allows it to deflate and scurries off with it.

"It's horrible! Who steals at Christmas? Of all things, a Christmas decoration," Brungard said.

The polar bear decoration cost more than $100 and his entire display is worth more than $7,000.

His message to the man in the hoodie: Just bring it back.

"It's Christmas. The kids in the neighborhood like it. Just return it. We're not going to press charges or anything, but we would like it back though," he said.
