GALLUP, N.M. -- It's going to get colder tonight. At this point, temperatures are hovering not too terribly far below freezing.

That means roads in Gallup tonight are passable for now -- primarily just wet.

Folks in town just worry how slick it's going to get and how they're going to avoid getting into an accident.

Local resident Patrick Chopito says, “Sometimes it gets slippery, you can get hit by a car when it slides or something."

Early this afternoon, temperatures were a good five to 10 degrees above freezing, that helped avoid accumulation on the roads and snow to melt very quickly.

However, this storm is already causing closures and delays.
