Aggies face No. 1 Arizona, Wednesday

The New Mexico State Aggies men's basketball team will face the nation's top team on Wednesday.

The Aggies will travel to Tucson to take on No. 1 Arizona.

The Aggies (7-4) are coming off an 80-68 road loss to No. 19 Gonzaga, which was the first game of a tough four game road stretch for NMSU.

NMSU's final three opponents of the trip have a combined 22-3 record.

The Aggies played nationally ranked Gonzaga tough, but Arizona represents a bigger challenge.

The Wildcats (9-0) have not given up more than 66 points the entire season.

Arizona is led by leading scorer Nick Johnson and freshman Aaron Gordon,who is averaging close to a double-double a game.

Gordon is the younger brother of former Lobo Drew Gordon.

Wednesday's game starts at 7 p.m.

Other Notes:

Aggies center Sim Bhullar is currently fourth in the nation in field goal percentage.
